autumn solar controller Power Price Issues
When you separate the solar panels price (the actual cost of the solar power) from the costs of building and installing a solar energy system, you can see how the cost of it is so low. Additionally, solar's price has continued to drop and it is estimated that by 2010, it could be as cheap as 10¢ per kilowatt hour (kWh). Included in these costs are the construction and installation of a solar energy system from a pre-silicon stage to the interconnected finished product.
The current scenario involving on grid inverter solar's price is that it is sitting at a low cost level, making it extremely competitive with pricing of the residential grid, even in the markets where kilowatt hours are the most expensive. Current estimates see the price of solar at about 5% to 10% less than that which is provided by the utility company grid. By next year, it is speculated that solar power price will have dropped some 30% since 2006. Additionally, it is estimated that the price of solar energy will be half of what electricity from the residential grid will cost you.
